Noelle currently studies with Dr. Sherry Overholt at The Aaron Copland School of Music (ACSM) at Queens College, where she is pursuing her Advanced Certificate. During the course of her studies she’s held operatic roles such as die Mutter in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel, Ms. Wordsworth in Britten’s Albert Herring, Oberto in Händel’s Alcina, Alinda in Cavalli’s Il Giasone, and Geraldine in Barber’s A Hand of Bridge. Her passion lies in the work of Romantic era and 20th century composers, having a strong affinity for the music of Alban Berg, André Previn, Giacomo Puccini, Richard Strauss, Giuseppe Verdi, and Richard Wagner.

Her most recent solo performances include her competing in ACSM’s Concerto Competition Finals, where she sang Berg’s Sieben Frühe Lieder, as well as her senior recital— titled To Long, Love, and Leave— which featured the melodies of Hahn, Verdi, Puccini, Berg, and Glück.

Before she devoted herself to classical repertoire, Noelle found her love for performing onstage in musical theater productions. Prior to her undergraduate degree, she held roles such as Ursula in The Little Mermaid, Donna in Mamma Mia! and Berthe in Pippin. She had the opportunity to reprise her musical theater skills during her undergraduate degree in QC Opera’s staging of Sondheim’s Into the Woods, where she played the Baker’s Wife.

Aside from performing on stage, Noelle is also an active music journalist at The Knight News. The articles she authors revolve around ACSM and the ever evolving world of classical music. From season announcements to perspectives on the future of opera, she covers a plethora of topics in music to broadcast ACSM’s activity to all of QC’s campus.
